Planner

Broward County Urban Planning Division is seeking a Planner to join its Platting Section which provides County wide services related to the platting of lands, plat note amendments, NVAL amendments, development agreements and vacation of easements, rights-of-way and other related encumbrances.

The Planner position takes a lead role in preparing professional and technical staff reports, reviewing and processing development agreements, addressing comments, making required revisions, GIS mapping, and serving as the point of contact for applicants. Other responsibilities include coordinating pre-application meetings, seeing project applications through to completion, and preparing items for County Commission consideration. The successful candidate will have strong writing and verbal communications skills. All work is supervised by the Planning Section Manager.
