Planner I/II

The County of Volusia is seeking a Planner I/II, dependent on qualifications, for the Planning and Development Services Division. This position is located in DeLand, Florida, and will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and presenting planning, environmental, and socio-economic information used to develop public policy and/or to support the Planning Division. Candidates must have excellent writing, presentation, and analytical skills; the ability to communicate effectively with staff, applicants, and the public, as well as elected and appointed officials. The candidate must be able to meet deadlines and manage multiple assignments and projects. Candidates must have a practical knowledge of planning practices, urban design principles, subdivision, and zoning regulations.  Excellent customer service is a must.

Planner I
Salary: $49,715.00 – $68,996.00 annually

Planner II
Salary: 58,791.00 – $81,962.00 annually
