Planning and Development Services Director

PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT SERVICES DIRECTOR

Conducts data research, quality assurance, and statistical analysis; prepares routine and special studies, reports, press releases; conduct workshops and seminars on planning and growth management. Oversees project management and schedule adherence; administers implementation of City Ordinances for growth management, environmental protection. Directs department staff including full range of supervisory duties including training, assigning/reviewing work, counseling, professional development, and discipline. Coordinates with elected officials to provide information and receive guidance; prepares reports and makes presentations; chairs Development Review Committee; coordinates with public activities and citizens, design professionals, and developers on development issues. Attends and participates in City presentations, meetings and administration. Supervises management of consultant contracts for planning, impact analysis, plan review, and zoning services.
