Indian River County, Florida is seeking a candidate to fill the position of either Senior Planner or Planner for the Current Development division. This is a professional position which involves the use of planning skills and expertise in both independent and team settings. Responsibilities will focus on development project review, although cross-training and other responsibilities may involve a variety of planning tasks.
The ideal candidate will possess:
Senior Planner: Master’s degree in planning or a closely related field from an accredited university supplemented with two years of professional planning experience; or bachelor’s degree in planning and a minimum of five years of direct planning experience.
Planner: Master’s degree in planning or closely related field from an accredited university or a bachelor’s degree in planning, and a minimum of two years of direct planning experience; or a bachelor’s degree in Geography, Public Policy, or closely related field from an accredited university and a minimum of three years of direct planning experience.
- Valid Florida driver’s license
- AICP Preferred
